Earlier this month, Long Do and Eric Chan filed an amicus brief in an ongoing lawsuit by the American Medical Association and the American Hospital Association challenging certain administrative rules implementing the No Surprises Act.

The brief was filed on behalf of Physicians Advocacy Institute (PAI), a not-for-profit organization that pushes for fair and transparent payment policies and practices by payors in order to sustain the practice of medicine for the benefit of patients.

Joining PAI on the brief were nine national specialty medical societies and sixteen state medical organizations, including the California Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association (which filed its own lawsuit challenging the No Surprises Act rules) and others.
