Licensure and Enrollment

Every significant change to a healthcare provider, such as a transaction, new location, new board member or new manager, requires an assessment of what reporting is required to state and federal governmental agencies governing licensure and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment.  We work with our clients through this complex maze of regulation to ensure that their licenses and enrollments accurately reflect the status of their operations.  This proactively protects a provider’s continue ability to do business as a provider and to bill and receive payment for services.

In addition, Athene Law, LLP lawyers use their expertise in administrative appeals to respond to adverse licensure or enrollment actions.  We work with clients to develop appropriate plans of correction and properly documenting corrective actions to address regulatory concerns.  To the extent that agencies still pursue adverse actions, we represent our clients in disputing those actions.
